Genealogy Collections at the UW-Milwaukee
Abigail Nye, reference and instruction archivist at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee gave an excellent presentation on the genealogy collections housed at its archives at the February meeting. This department is an Area Research Center for Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Sheboygan, Washington, and Waukesha Counties, and is able to obtain records from other parts of the state. Researching Your Genealogy at the Wisconsin Historical Society
WHS holds one of the top five genealogical collections in the country, with materials from across the United States and Canada. Division of Library, Archives, and Museum Collections Reference Librarian Jill Fuller shared how to access the library's extensive family history collections as well as top tips to get started on your own genealogy project.
