Pomerania as a separate entity or Provinz no longer exists.
As is true of a great deal of Europe, Pomerania's borders have shifted over the years.
Pomerania primarily extended from the Baltic Sea to the Vistula River.
Much of eastern Pomerania was ceded to Poland at the end of World War II, while the western section stayed in Germany and became Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
