The Pommerscher Verein Freistadt library is located in a former schoolhouse in Mequon, Wisconsin that now serves as the Lindenwood Community Center at 12351 N. Granville Road, Mequon, WI. The unique collection of books and reference materials focuses mainly on Pomerania, with a few items that touch on other nearby provinces (Brandenburg, Posen, East Prussia and West Prussia).

The library is open from noon to 1:00 pm for browsing or researching prior to regularly-scheduled meetings at Lindenwood on the second Saturday of the months of February, March, May, June, September, and November. No research time is scheduled for October (Erntedankfest) or December (Weihnachtsfest) due to the special events on those days. If you require assistance from the librarian during that 12:00-1:00 hour, contact genealogy@pommerscher.org before coming to the library to make sure the librarian is available.
